Services are pending at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry for Louis David Doty 85 of Perry, formerly of Cosmos, MN.
Louis was born on August 20, 1930.
On February 25, 1951, Louis was united in marriage to Iola Maxine Meldrem, the daughter of Elton and Ruby (Smith) Meldrem in Newton.
Louis died on September 29, 2015, at the Perry Lutheran Home.
Louis is survived by 0ne a son David Doty of Granville; three daughters, Janice Albracht and husband Richard of Woodward, Joyce Bricker and husband Jim of Stratford, and Joan Doty of Cosmos, Minnesota; nine grandchildren: Dillon, Lucas, Daniel, David, Todd, Troy, Rosa, Louisa, and Grasiela; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, two brothers Walter Doty (Marilyn), Oskaloosa, IA, Delbert Doty,(Josephine) Trespnos, CA and one sister Alice Walker, Oklahoma.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, and infant twin daughters Katherine and Kathelene.
