Linda (Wymore) Denley, 68, of Forsyth died Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in Cox Medical Center Branson.
Visitation for Linda will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 4, 2018, in the Kissee Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Linda Sue Denley was born Friday, September 29, 1950, in Newton, IA to Vance and Norma Wymore. She attended school in Knoxville, IA, and attended Drake University in Des Moines where she earned a Masters’s Degree in Microbiology.
After graduation, she moved to Chicago where she worked as a Medical Technician at a local hospital. She then worked for Baxter Pharmaceutical as a chemist.
She was transferred to Cleveland, MS where she met Gill Denley. They were married in Cleveland on January 5, 1979. She then worked for the Cleveland State Bank in Cleveland, MS as a bookkeeper. She retired in 2013.
She was the “glue’ of the family. She was very friendly, sweet, caring, and selfless. She did arts and crafts, gardening, reading mystery novels, and was an excellent cook, especially her meatloaf.
She was the Chaplain for the BPOE Lodge #2597 and a member of the Forsyth Garden Club. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Knoxville, IA.
She is survived by her husband, Gill of Forsyth; one son, Don Denley II and wife, Roe-Jin of Forsyth; two daughters, Amanda Scott, and husband, Garrett of Bossier City, LA, Jessica Jordan and husband, Brett of Cleveland, MS and two grandchildren, Van and Kye Scott.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
