Leona E. (Burkard) Haselrick, 51, of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 unexpectedly at her home.
Funeral services will held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Leona’s family will greet friends
from 9 a.m. till service time on Saturday.
Lea was born April 27, 1955 in Denver, CO. She was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1978 to 1984.
She is survived by her son, Tony Stephenson and wife Shana; daughters, Heather Haselrick,
Melissa Haselrick and her fiance David Jolliff, Jr, grandchildren, Bailey, Desmond,
Lyanhna, Emma; sister, Joanne Andersen and husband Steve; brother, Henry Burkard
and wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Evelyn Burkard; and
her twin brother, Leonard Burkard.
