Leland Dwight Williams was born July 5, 1931 in Attica, Iowa the son of Mayo and Slyvia Williams.

As a young man, Lee worked in the western United States and on the Alaskan Pipeline before returning to Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Ila Moore (b.1934-d.2017), at the Little Brown Church, Nashua and the couple made their home in Pleasantville for most of their married life.

Lee was a welder and worked for Abild Construction prior to his retirement in 1986. He also had his own welding shop for many years.
For many years, Lee had horses and mules. He enjoyed showing the horses and using the mules to coon hunt. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Lee passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his home at the age of 85 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Ila; daughters: Sharon (Kenneth) Carr of New Sharon and Cindy (Mike) West of Osceola; grandchildren: Vicky Goemaat, Jered Jones, Amy Goodridge, and Jessi West; great-grandchildren: McKenna Jones, Shelby Jones, Nathaniel Paxson, Dawson Goodridge, Grace Goodridge, Levi Cotner, Angelina McCoy, Alux Jones and Teegan Jones and many other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service for Leland Williams, age 85 of Pleasantville, will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home.
