Funeral services forLaVerl Mona (Davidson) Wilson, 82, of Pleasantville, who died December 4, were held December 7, 1999, at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. Andy O' Neal officiated at the services. Music was provided by Barb Hunt, the organist.

Burial was at Pleasantville Cemetery. Casket-bearers were Chris Hart, Ronnie Hunt, Greg Horstmann,
Randy Hunt, Brad Horstmann and Kent Horstmann. Honorary Casketbearers were Barb Hunt, Michelle Hart, Bobbi Calhoun, Mary Horstmann, Lori Horstmann, Angie Horstmann and Carla Horstmann.

LaVerl was born on July 9, 1917, in Marion County, the only child of Watt Davidson and Ethel Courtney Davidson. She was raised in rural Marion County and graduated with the Knoxville High School Class of 1935. On April 8, 1936, she was united in marriage to Glenn Wilson in Des Moines. The couple farmed most of their married lives in the rural Pleasantville area.

In 1967 LaVerl and Glen sold the farm and moved to town. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son Ronnie D. Wilson, and husband Glenn.

She is survived by her two daughters Lorna Horstmann, and Shirley Davis both of Pleasantville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
