Larry Dean Swayne was born September 27, 1953, in Knoxville,
Iowa, the son of Larry Swayne and Bonnie (Brown) Swayne.

Following graduation from Knoxville High School, Larry joined the United States Air Force. On November 27,
1974 he was honorably discharged from the Air Force and moved back to Knoxville.
He later moved to Arkansas where he worked for Chamberlains as a truck dispatcher
for 10 years.
Larry then returned to Knoxville and worked as an over-the-road truck
driver for a firm in Monroe. He was most recently employed by KLK Construction in
Pella where he served as foreman.

He was united in marriage to Debbie Hatfield on May 17, 2003, in Knoxville. Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR and tinkering in his garage.
Larry passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010, at the Knoxville Community Hospital at the ageLarry Swayne
of 56 years, 7 months, and 20 days.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughters: Jessy McGrew of Hot Springs, AR, Jenny Swayne of Florida, Jill Hatfield of Centerville, and Mandy Kelley of Ottumwa; 6 grandchildren, Chloe, Caley, Tanner, Josey, Bowen
and Aiden; parents, Bonnie & Larry Swayne of Knoxville and 2 sisters: Julie De Vries
of Monroe and Missy Gullion of Knoxville and many other family members and friends.
