Larry Delaine Roper, 45, of 2830 N. Lincoln Ave., Davenport, died, Saturday, June 3, 1978, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, Allamakee County, Iowa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home, Knoxville, Iowa. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Iowa.
Mr. Roper was employed as a barber and operated a shop in Davenport until 1977. He was born February 10, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Richard J. and Mildred Irene (Brown) Roper.
He married Helen Roberton in 1953 in Fullton, Ill.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 221 AF & Am. Davenport.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy J., stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Roper, Knoxville, Iowa; a sister, Sharon Bridges of New Iberia, Ia., and a brother, Thomas S., Portsmouth, N.H.
