Larry Neal McMullin, age 64, of rural Bussey, Iowa, passed away Monday evening, September 5, 2022, at Pella Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.

Visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville. Larry’s family will be present to greet friends and relatives from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Cross Roads Gospel Church of rural Knoxville. Military honors will take place after the service, with a luncheon to follow.

Larry Neal McMullin was born on May 21, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the oldest son of Richard Arthur and Alberta Mae (McVey) McMullin.

Larry attended Knoxville High School and graduated with the Class of 1976. Following high school, he became employed at 3M for a short time, until he joined the United States Air Force. Larry proudly served our country from 1977-1981. After his military service, he went back to 3M and was employed there until his retirement.

Larry met Kathleen Mary Putz at the annual 3M Christmas party. They spent the evening talking and were united in marriage on February 18, 1984.

Larry and Kathy were blessed with triplets, Andrew, Timothy, and Virginia “Ginny”. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage before his passing.

Larry truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was fond of fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, mushroom hunting, and rock hunting. Larry especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed by them all.

Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his wife, Kathy McMulin; children, Andrew McMulin of West Des Moines, Tim McMulin of Ankeny, and Virginia “Ginny” Smith and her husband Aaron of Madrid; and Larry McCulinhis granddaughter Magnolia Smith.

Larry is also survived by his two sisters, Jeannie McMullin of Knoxville and Traci Hillestad and her husband Matthew of Omaha, NE; also other extended relatives and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Alberta McMullin; and his brother, Tim McMullin.
Memorials may be given in Larry’s memory to Cross Roads Church in Knoxville.
