Lawrence Willard Dutton, age 87, formerly of Dunlap, IL passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe, IL.
Larry was born on August 10, 1934, to Burton W. and Lois A. (Colvin) Dutton in Flora, IN. He married Irene E. Dutton on October 17, 1959, in Sheldahl, IA. Irene preceded him in death on December 19, 2003. Larry was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Shirley A. Dutton, and one grandson, Ryan W. Dutton.
Larry is survived by three sons, Michael W. Dutton of St. Charles, MO, Matthew L. Dutton of Peoria, IL, and Mark L. (Kimberly) Dutton of Snellville, GA; one daughter, Krista L. (Danny Trivette) Scoggins of Ashland, VA; and six grandsons.
Larry graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. As an engineer he worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 34 years, retiring in 1987.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Larry donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Association for medical research.
