Kim Anton Kruse, age 45, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at his residence in Knoxville, Iowa.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 4:00-8:00 P.M. His family will be present to greet family and friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Elder Bill McDonald will offer words of comfort at 7:30.

A private burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on a later date.
Kim was born on October 7, 1972 in Knoxville, Iowa. He is the son of Kathy (McDonald) Pitt and the late Kenneth Kruse and brother to Keri (Kruse) Garrison.

He attended Knoxville High School and graduated with the Class of 1992. After high school, Kim attended DMACC for Graphic Design. He was employed at Pella Printing for several years, and later started a side business working with computers. He had a natural talent for this line of work and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Kim was united in marriage to his former wife Kathy (Bender) and to this union they were blessed with two sons, Austin and Kaden. He was so very proud of them both.

Kim battled Diabetes for most of his life, but always maintained a positive attitude. He will be remembered as a caring, generous, loving man, with a great sense of humor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Austin and Kaden Kruse of Knoxville, mother and step-dad, Kathy and Bill Pitt of Knoxville, sister, Keri (Dan) Garrison and their daughter Maggie of Knoxville, step-brother, Tim Pitt and his daughter Savannah, step-children, Kaylee Senn and Rob Bender, grandfather Robert McDonald, also several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kim is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Kruse, grandmother Harriett McDonald, and grandparents, Elmer and Kay Kruse.
Memorials may be made in Kim’s memory to his children.
