Services for Kerry Guarode Cox, 51, who died May 1, 1988 at the Va Medical Center
in Iowa City, were held May 4 at Williams Funeral Home. Interment was Cemetery.
The Rev. Reva Rimmer officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder,
organist.
Pallbearers were Bret Cox, Gary and Mark Edwards, 0llie Milledge, Kerry
Seibert, and Danny Wooldridge.
Mr. Cox was born on July 31, 1936 at Harvey, the
son of John Franklin and Gladys Marie Wilson Cox. He attended Knoxville schools
and joined the Navy in 1954.
On March 31, 1945 he was united in marriage to Norma Allen.
He was employed by the Des Moines Water Department for 16 years and was later employed at Iowa City. He was
preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Ricky.
He is survived by one daughter, Kitty Bogel of Bloomfied; One son, Jerry of Des Moines; three grandchildren;
one sister, Mrs. Merrill (Melva Don) Edwards of Des Moines; and one brother, Cyrus
of Pleasantville.
