Services for Kenneth “Plute” Vanderwilt, 86, of Knoxville, who passed away Feb.
8, 1991 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held Feb. 12 at Evans-McCleery
Funeral Home.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services. Music was provided by organist
Jim Kidder.Pallbearers were Mike Cunning: ham, Howard
Kading, Richard Myers, Tom Kading, Con Cunningham and Tim Leach.

Plate was born on Sept. 11, 1904 in Knoxville, the son of Antone and
Ollie Noftsger
Vanderwilt. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1922.

He married Mary Helen Bucklew on June 3, 1935 in Chicago. Plute owned and operated Vanderwilt Hardware in Knoxville until his retirement in
1965. He was a member of Pine Knolls Country Club and the First United Methodist
Church,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 1987 and one
sister.

He is survived by one daughter, Jane Crozier of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Curtis
Crozier of Columbus, Ohio and Lisa Crozier of Des Moines; one sister, Frances La
Follette of Parkersburg, West Virginia and many other relatives and friends.
