Kenneth Fredrick Vickroy Sr., 81, of Houston, TX passed away on April 28, 2016.

Ken was born to Amos Ray and Mary Marguerite Vickroy, on December 27, 1934, in Knoxville, Iowa. Ken graduated from Knoxville High School. He was married to Joanne Speer Vickroy who preceded him in death.

Kenneth joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. After the military he worked for Able Supply Company in sales and later became a Vice President until he opened his own company A&H Refractories in the early 80"s.

Kenneth enjoyed traveling, going to football games, and car races, watching sports, and the occasional trip to the casino. You couldn't help but like him, once you met him with his I've never met a stranger outlook on life.

He also worked his way up thru the Mason's to become a Shiner and later a Jester where he earned his lifetime membership this year. Dad, Brother, and Papa, you will be greatly missed. We will never forget all your little sayings and the way you did things.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Kirkland and husband Grady, son Kenneth Fredrick Vickroy Jr. and wife Denise, his two brothers Merle Vickroy and wife Anna Mae, and Dwight Vickroy and wife Joy, and his four grandchildren, Eddie Ray Walker Jr., Tara Marie Kirkland, Samantha Jo Vickroy, and Nicole Anne Vickroy.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews along with grandnieces and grandnephews.
