Kay Klyricia (Barnett) Henry/Heidema was born, on December 3, 1941, in Eddyville, Iowa, the daughter of Byron Lloyd Barnett and Ellen Wilma Williams.

She grew up and graduated from KHS with the Class of 1960. Kay was a high school Cheerleader and later Homecoming Queen.

She received her State Board of cosmetology in Las Vegas, NV, and worked at “The Grand Headlines” Billings, Montana in the early ’60s.
For 25 years Kay worked at the JC Penny’s Store.

Kay was united in marriage to Kenneth Hugh Henry Jr. and later married Richard Dean Heidema.

Kay died in Las Vegas, Sunday, February 2, 2019.

Surviving her are her husband Richard, daughter Heather Kay Kay Heidema Sawyer, two sons, Mark and Edward Ricky Heidema, and two sisters; Joyce Ann Hayes and Betty S. Barnett of Knoxville, and many other relatives.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
