Dane Junior Presley died Monday, February 2, 1969.
He was born October 17, 1934, son of Dane A. Presley and
Mary T. Presley

On March 4, 1962, Dane was united in marriage to Carol A. Antolik in Ottumwa. Following their marriage, they moved to rural Knoxville.

He is survived by his daughter: Brenda (Don) Ballard of Knoxville; a son: Kevin (Dannitta) Presley of Oskaloosa; five grandchildren: Brian (Chelsey) Ballard, Kevin Ballard, Shawn Ballard, Nicole Presley and Matt Presley.

Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Dane A. (Junior) Presley, 34, died at the farm home of his mother, Mrs. Dane Presley, east of the abandoned Liberty rural school, southeast of Knoxville, early Sunday evening from a gunshot.

He was found in a barn when Members of the family investigated after no lights were turned on during milking time. A .22 caliber rifle was beside his body and County Medical Examiner Dr. Alan D. Patterson ruled it an accidental death.

Presley resided on a farm just east of his mother’s farmstead with his wife, Carole, and a son and a daughter. He was in a dairy farming partnership with his brother, Robert.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2 p. m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville with Rev. E. G. Kleidon
