Jon Walter Lenger was born April 24, 1954 in Knoxville, Iowa to John R. and Margaret Virgene
(O’Brien) Lenger.

Jon was raised in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High
School, class of 1973. Following high school he worked in Indianola. Jon started
to work with 3M of February 16, 1981. He worked at 3M for ten years before becoming
disabled in 1991.

Jon and Connie Fee-Davies were married at the Marion County Park
on July 24, 1981. They shared 29 years together and were blessed with Tonya, Chad
Joni and two grandchildren. Jon enjoyed hanging out with the boys at the shop. A
devoted father, grandfather and sprint car racing fan. Jon was also a former member
of the Knoxville City Council and a former mayor of Knoxville.

Jon died at his home
with his family on Friday morning March 11, 2011. He was 56 years, ten months, and
15 days. Jon is preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret; his brother
Gary Lenger; and his nephew Andrew Gvist.

Jon is survived by his wife Connie Lenger
of Knoxville; their children Tonya McDonald of Knoxville, Chad Davies of Des Moines, and Joni (Brad) Hannon of Pella; and two grandchildren Autumn Davies and Easton
Hannon.

He is also survived by his siblings Paul (Terrie) Lenger of Epworth, Royce
(Vickie) Lenger of Marion, Murray (Teena) Lenger of Lincoln, NE, Richardine (Gene)
Jackson of Polk City, and Janine Lenger-Gvist of Red Oak, TX; also Jon’s uncle James
(Doris) O’Brien of Albia, and his aunt Mary Jo (Gary) Mitterer of Fremont.
