Jolene Suzanne Huss was born April 25, 1943 in Jefferson, Iowa the daughter of Harold
B. Wilson and Dorothy (Beebe) Wilson.

Jolene’s family moved to Knoxville in 1951 and she graduated with the Knoxville
High School Class of 1961. She was a loving mother, raising two children who were
born 11 months apart. She was also a valued and dedicated employee to Iowa State
Savings Bank where she managed the Melcher office for more than 20 years. She took
great pride in the work she did and the service she provided.

Jolene had a great sense of humor and was a very warm and caring person. She enjoyed
collecting; often referring to herself as a “hunter and gatherer”. She loved looking
for information to update her genealogy research. She also loved auctions, reading,
antiquing, and playing games. Jolene was very proud to have taken and completed
the rites to become a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Jolene passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center,
in Des Moines, at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 8 days. She was preceded in
death by her grandparents; father; husband, Floyd Huss; son, Gary Gaul ”Gig”, Jr.;
and her husband Thomas Durant Williams.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Gwen “Bruce” Berg of Des Moines; one sister Judy “Frank” Lomas of Grapevine, Texas; mother Dorothy Geith of Knoxville;
granddaughter, Megan Skinner of Iowa City; and nephew Eric Engstrom of Fort Worth,
Texas along with many other family members and friends.
