John Andrew VanRees was born 1952, in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Lenora Jane (Paltzer) and Vernon VanRees.
He was raised in Knoxville, Iowa along with his older sister, Bonnie VanRees.
On July 7, 1972, she married Melvin Leroy Nichols in Parkersburg, Iowa.
Together they raised their two children: Scott and Kasi,
John graduated from Knoxville, Iowa High School, in 1970,
and later moved to Vancouver, Washington.
Megan, John’s daughter-in-law wants to let you know he is in the hospital with pneumonia.

John passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
He passed away, surrounded by his family, know that his spirit is resting peacefully now in its next life, in the light and the love.
