Joseph N. Shinn Services for Joseph Noel Shinn, 45, of Tampa, Fla. and formerly
of Knoxville, who died June 13, 1988 at Tampa, were held June 17 at Williams Funeral
Home. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
The Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at
the services. Music was provided by Joan Arnott, organist, and Dr. Gordon Amott,
soloist. Pallbearers were Mike Brooks, Edward Cordle, Leonard Dhabalt, Barry and
Dave Marshall, Joey Marvelli, John Steger, William Tyseling, Charlie VanHouwelingen
and Bob Yauger.
Mr. Shinn was born on April 17, 1943 at Des Moines, the son of Joseph
and Lela Harrison Shinn.
On April 22, 1977, he married Rhonda Jill Marvelli at the
Tracy Christian Reformed Church. He had been self-employed in construction, maintenance,
and inventive design programs.
He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived
by his wife; four children, Joseph of Ft. Knox, Ken., Jason of Lakeland, Fla., Mrs.
Mickey (Chris) Sheehey of Hartford, and Marc Carter of Norwalk; his mother, Lela
Roberts of Des Moines; one brother, Dick of Knoxville; and six grandchildren.
