Funeral services for JoAnn (Harvey) Fankhauser, 72, of Knoxville, who died on Tuesday, October
9, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held on Friday, October 12,
at Williams Funeral Home.
Rev. Paul Hughes officiated at the services. Music was
provided by Jim Kidder, vocalist and Darlene Mooberry, organist. Interment was at
Graceland Cemetery. Casketbearers were Patrick Buckley, Jozy Gillaspie, Bob McVey,
Cory Steele and Matt, Mike and Mitch Van Zuuk. Honorary casket bearers were Derick
and Jordan Van Zuuk, Dalton Weaver and Dondi Weaver, Jr.
JoAnn was born on April
29, 1929, in Marion County. She was the daughter of Florence Eleanor Jury and John
Clament Harvey. JoAnn lived in Knoxville and the surrounding areas all of her life.
She attended Knoxville Schools. She cooked at JoAnn’s Supper Club, Knoxville Country
Club, and the American Legion. “Whenever her children and grandchildren had an activity,
JoAnn was sure to be involved.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law,
Deb and Steve Scott of Bussey and Billijo and Dondi Weaver of Pleasantville; three
sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Pam Van Zuuk of Des Moines, Dan and Cindy
Van Zuuk and David and Julie Van Zuuk, all of Knoxville; three sisters, Marita Rowland,
Ethel Loomis and Virginia Anderson, all of Knoxville; a brother, Ike Harvey of Pleasantville;
19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
