JoAnn Norma Beebout, 68, passed away on July 20, 2001 at the Universtiy of California Davis Medical Center She was a Lakeport, Calif. resident during the time the Beebout family operated the Skylark Motel.
JoAnn resided in Davis, Calif, and retired from the U.C. Davis Veterinary Medicine Serology Laboratory. JoAnn was born in Knoxville on Sept. 4, 1932. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1950. She graduated from the University of Iowa, after which she worked many years at Rush Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago as Chief Medical Technologist in the chemistry department.
JoAnn was a very special and loved aunt of Glenda Beebout-Depp and her husband Rich, Ed and wife Cynthia Beebout and Stephen Beebout all of Santa Rosa, Calif and Leslie Beebout Adams and her husband, Gregg of Roberts Park, Calif. She leaves great nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Jan Beebout of Lakeport and stepmother, Kay Beebout of Las Vegas.
Uncle and Aunt, John and Ruth Beebout survive her in Knoxville, and nephew John Beebout of Santa Rosa, Calif., as well as several cousins in Iowa and Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Margaret Beebout, and her brother, Ed Beebout. A Rosary will be said Friday at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of the Lakes.
A funeral mass will be offered by Father Philip Ryan, Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Kelseyville, Calif, with internment at Hartley Cemetery in Lakeport. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
