Joan L. (Wray) Williamson, age 82, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Joan was born May 13, 1936, in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Grace (Geist) Wray. She graduated from high school in Knoxville, Iowa, and attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Joan was united in marriage to Robert Williamson in December of 1973 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Joan worked as an Administrative Assistant for Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois, and at the Super 8 Motel in Washington, Iowa. She was a member of T.T.T. and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Williamson of Washington, IA; children: Rob Brenneman and wife Char of Washington, IA; Lynn Brenneman of Keota, IA; Christi Beenblossom and husband Mark of Washington, IA; and Brenda Dunphy and husband Terry of Grimes, IA; daughter-in-law, Lisa Brenneman of Keota, IA; step-children: Jennifer Mason and husband Rod of Cape Coral, FL; Mike Williamson and wife Patrice of Kansas City, KS; and Tim Williamson and wife Sarah of Iowa City, IA; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gene Brenneman
