James Edward Washington was born, June 11, 1946, the son of Olious Omen Washington and Marguerite “Beady” Rumley and he passed away April 22, 2020.
A graveside committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. in Knoxville, Iowa, at Zion cemetery.

James Edward Washington was born, June 11, 1946, the son of Olious Omen Washington and Marguerite “Beady” Rumley and he passed away April 22, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa.
The family lived at 1665 Highway 5 near Knoxville, Iowa. James attended the Knoxville high school and later joined the US military.
On April 27, 1953, his father Olious Washington, died in a tragic coal mining accident.
His mother died at the age of 98 on August 24, 2014.
