Services for Thomas James Hindman, 66, who died October 18, 1981 at Mercy Hospital
in Des Moines, were held Oct. 22 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Williams Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. Phillip Ryan officiated at the services. St. Anthony's Adult Choir and soloist,
Janice Crall provided music for the services. Pallbearers were Joe Conway, Ron Hindman,
Marty Crall, Jim Beary, Ronald Plum and Lester Gilderbloom.

Mr. Hindman was born August 7, 1915 near Knoxville, the son of Thomas Jefferson
and Margaret Conway Hindman. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1934.

He was married to Mary Beary on June 1, 1942 (b.1915-d.2014) at Weller. He farmed in the Knoxville
and Pleasantville area for several years and later worked at Gilderbloom's Grocery
in Pleasantville.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Pleasantville; four daughters, Harriett Arnhold (b.1943-d.2012)
of Phoenix, AZ., Margaret Hindman of Pleasantville, Jeanne (Dave) Stairet and Joyce Hindman (b.1950-d.2010),
both of Carroll; three grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Hindman of Pleasantville
and Chet Hindman of Roseburg, Ore.; three sisters, Gladys Hindman, Inez Hindman
and Mary Cox, all of Phoenix, AZ.
