James was preceded in death by his grandparents Harvey Wellington Lounsberry and wife Sarah Agnes (Gourley) Lounsberry, parents, Edwin Chapman Andrews and wife Iva Anna (Lounsberry) Andrews.
Surviving are two siblings, a brother, Richard Edwin and a sister, Ruth Agnes (Duncan) Williams.
The family moved from their farm in Minnesota to a farm in Knoxville, Iowa in 1923. They moved to the Marshalltown farm in 1938.
