Inez Faye (Neely) Mitchell was born March 17, 1911, in rural Marion County, the daughter of William G. and Blanche (Reynolds) Neely.

Inez spent her entire life in Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School
and taught country school for a year.

She married Frank "Bunk" Mitchell in Newton in June 1930. Inez and her husband ran
the Knoxville Café and owned and operated several other businesses during their
lives. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 85. Inez
cherished her family and was a dedicated wife and mother.

Inez died April 11 at West Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of
95.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brother, Glenn Neely and sister,
Effie in infancy.

She is survived by two sons, Dick (Phyllis) of Ankeny and Jim (Chris) of Knoxville;
five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren and three
great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 14 in Knoxville with Terry E. Banker officiating.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. For those desiring, memorial contributions
may be made to the family.
