William “Hubert” Hollingshead, age 96, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on December 24, 2018, at the Pella Comfort House.
William was born on Dec 21, 1922.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church of Knoxville, beginning at 4:00 P.M. Hubert’s family will be present to greet friends and relatives from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 10:30 A.M.
Burial will follow at Breckenridge Cemetery. After burial services, a luncheon will be held at the Church.
Those left to cherish Hubert’s memory include his children: Danny (Marlys) Hollingshead of Tracy, Tish (Ron) Cox of Knoxville, and Kathy Cassill (Richard VanderEcken) of Melcher; twelve grandchildren: Deb (Eric) Randol, Jody (Kim) Ryan, Stacy VanGorp, Sheri (Justin) Stursma, Danelle (Todd) Slay, Denise Hollingshead (Mike Groenendyk), Julie Howie, Jennifer (Craig) Mobley, Karey (Dave) Sanderson, Jacob (Erika) DeGeest, Jesse (Janelle) DeGeest, and Chandler Cassill; twenty great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
Hubert is preceded in death by his wife, Norma; daughter, Nancy See; son-in-law, Gary See; brother, James Hollingshead; sister-in-law, Wilma Hollingshead; sister, Betty Catrenich; brother-in-law, Bill Catrenich; and grandson-in-law, Donald Kamerick.
Memorials may be given in Hubert’s memory to the First United Methodist Church and the Comfort House of Pella.
