Helen Marie (Mavin) Frazier, age 89, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on April 13, 2022, at Westridge Specialty Care in Knoxville. Helen was born on March 23, 1933, in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Nora (King) Mavin. She attended school in Attica until the 5th grade and finished her education in Knoxville.

Helen was united in marriage to Fred Frazier, Jr. on October 16, 1949. They were blessed with three children, Ronald, Russell, and Lisa. Helen and Fred enjoyed 45 years of marriage before Fred’s passing on November 10, 1994.

Helen was employed at 3M for several years as a fork truck driver and retired from there. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bingo. Helen volunteered at the First Presbyterian Church for many years and was also involved with the youth groups there. She also enjoyed volunteering at the local election polls.

Helen was a fantastic cook, and her family fondly remembers the Sunday dinners she would make. Helen’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by them all. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lisa (Mike) Figland; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Frazier; six grandchildren, Chris Frazier, Stacy (Steve) Bellon, Abby (Dean) Kirstein, Gregory (Julia) Pitt, Jacob (Jesika) Pitt, Scott Pitt (Tiffany Hopkins); Sarah Figland, and Josh Figland; also numerous great-grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nora Mavin; husband, Fred Frazier, Jr.; sons, Ronald and Russell Frazier; two brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation for Helen will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. with Helen’s family present to greet friends and relatives.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 A.M. also at the First Presbyterian Church. Following services, a luncheon will be held. A private family burial will take place at Gullion Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in Helen’s memory to her family and will be donated at a later date.
