Helen Berneil (Kubli) King aged 98, of Grand Rapids, MI, and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert King, granddaughter Teresa King, two great-grandchildren, and her three brothers.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her children; Betty (Jim) Buick, and Marvin (Margaret) King, grandchildren; Greg Buick, Bob Buick, Karen King, Julaine Swithers, Jack King, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She spent the majority of her professional career working in the food service field in the Des Moines School District. Helen was very active in the Free Methodist Church. Helen was a great homemaker, who loved to garden, cook food and sew for her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Highlands Memorial Gardens.
