Gregory G. Card of Knoxville died Sunday, June 7, 1981 at Knoxville Area Community
Hospital, where he was taken following a one-vehicle accident on old Hwy. 92, a
quarter mile west of town.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Department,
the accident occured at 3:15 a.m. Sunday and Card died in the hospital at 6 a.m.
He was born Feb. 16, 1959 at Independence the son of Giles S. and Glennice Radloff
Card of Knoxville. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1977 and was employed
by the Des Moines Flying Service as a lineman. He was studying to be
an instructor pilot.
Services were held Wednesday, June 10 at the First Presbyterian
Church with the Rev. Kenneth MacLeod officiating. Evans McCleery Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents; one brother Grant of San
Diego; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Radloff of Merrill, Iowa and
paternal stepgrandmother, Mrs. S. A Card of Okalhoma City Okla.
