Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Karr, who died Oct. 9 at Pella Community Hospital were held Oct. 11 from Williams funeral home here with burial in Silent City cemetery at Monroe Elder Arthur Nichols officiated.

Casketbearers were Hugh Templeton, Dick DeJong, John Dykstra, Fred Smith, Herman DeHeer and Clarence Bricker. Mrs. Terry Zickel was organist. Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Hazel Bricker and Mrs. Ruth Perkey.

Grace, daughter of Azel E. and Ida Cronkhite was born April 6, 1899 near Flagler and spent her entire life in Marion and Jasper counties.

On April 5, 1925 she was united in marriage to Ray Karr. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Augusta Powers; and a great – grandson Shawn Hjortshoj.

Surviving are her husband, Roy; son, Bill of Monroe; three granddaughters; one great – granddaughter; and two brothers, Paul Cronkhite of Knoxville and Harry Cronkhite of Spokane, Wash.
