Services for Glenn Forrest Cameron, 69, of Knoxville, who passed away Aug. 14, 1991 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held on Aug. 17, at Evans-McCleery Funeral
Home.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services.
Music was provided by organist Kellie Gotta and soloist Tim Gotta. Pallbearers were
Ross Cameron, Doug Cameron, Glenn Cameron III, Mark Falke, Ted Deets, Bruce Cameron,
Greg Cameron and Clint Cameron. Military honors were provided by Baty-Tucker Post
168, American Legion and John Myers Post 3519, VFW.
Glenn was born on June 27, 1922, in Des Moines, the son of Glenn Forrest and Faye
Malone Cameron, Sr. He attended school in Des Moines and graduated from Knoxville
High School in 1940. He also attended Iowa State University in Ames.
He married Madalynn Bruce on Aug. 22, 1943, in Chicago, Ill. Glenn enlisted in the
United States Navy in 1942 and was Honorably Discharged in 1945. He was retired
from the Army Corps of Engineers after 25 years. He was also a member of the First
United Methodist Church and Baty-Tucker Post 168, American Legion in Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of Knoxville; two sons, Glenn III, and his wife’ Sheila
of Minneapolis, Minn., and Bruce and his wife Valerie of Knoxville; two daughters,
Susan and her husband Ted Deets of West Branch and Kris of Dallas, Tex; one brother,
Joe of Knoxville; five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
