Virginia “Ginny” (Laird) Hubler, age 58, of Columbia, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Ginny was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 26, 1961, the daughter of Ralph and Patricia (Wright) Laird.

She was united in marriage to Dan Hubler in 1987. They were blessed with two children, Jessica and Joe.

Ginny began working early in life and found her career job of nearly 28 years with the Veteran’s Administration, serving those that have kept us a free nation. Ginny loved gardening, crafts, cooking, boating, fishing, and mushroom hunting.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service, with Ginny’s family present to greet friends and relatives.

Burial services will be held at the Columbia Cemetery. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held at the Columbia Community Center. Those left to cherish Ginny’s memory include her husband Dan Hubler of Columbia; their children Jessica (Courtney) Logston of Chariton and Joe (Danielle) Hubler of Chariton; grandchildren Kaytlynn Hubler of Columbia, and Alexzandria Hubler of Columbia, Hunter Hubler of Chariton, Desmon, Clayton, and Skylar Logston of Chariton; siblings Sherry Laird of Chariton, Janice Ortiz of Des Moines, and Teresa Colyn of Pella; also many nieces and nephews.Ginny Laird

Ginny is preceded in death by her father Ralph Laird and niece Stacey DeRaad. Memorials may be given in Ginny’s memory to the American Cancer Society Melanoma Research at P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123, or to her family.
