Funeral services were held July 16, 1977 at the chapel of the Van Dyk-Duven funeral home for Gerald Arthur Starr, 69, who died July 13, 1977 at the Pella community hospital.

Officiating at the services was Elder Wm. C. McDonald. Organist was Mrs. Ralph De Cook.

Casket bearers were David Willemsen, Mark Vickroy Dwight Randels, Glen Campbell, David Riglin and Norman Riddle.

Burial was in the Oakwood cemetery, Pella, Gerald Arthur Starr was born June 19, 1908 at Tabor, the son of Fred and Ethel Moore Starr.

The family moved to Knoxville, where Mr. Starr graduated from Knoxville high school in 1927.

He married Grace Van Dellen in Pella July 22, 1946. Prior to his marriage, Mr. Starr lived part of his life in California, then moved to Pella.

For 17 years he had a dry cleaning business in Pella, Starr Cleaners., and later he retired from the Rolscreen Co.

Surviving are his wife, Grace, and a sister, Freda, Mrs. William Schmidt of Shingletown, Cal.

Preceding him in death Were his parents and two brothers: Leslie and Robert Starr.
