Gail Margaret (Smith) Foster graduated from Knoxville High School Class of 1958.
On August 23, 1959, she was united in marriage to Alvin Keith Foster in Knoxville. To this union, two daughters were born: Lorri Lynn and Lisa Kay.
Gail worked in Knoxville for many years in dental offices as an assistant. She later worked as a loan officer for a local lending institution.
Gail and Al enjoyed many years of activities together such as boating, motorcycling, and snowmobiling. They enjoyed these activities with their many friends and family. Gail was known for her excellent cooking and pie baking.
She enjoyed tending to her flowers and spending time on her deck in the company of friends and family. She was an avid sports fan watching a variety of sports on TV and spending summer nights at baseball fields. By far her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
Gail passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the age of 81 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lorri Jahner and her son-in-law Bob Jahner.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband Al; her daughter, Lisa (Mike) Jones; her sister, Doris (Woody) Vander Wilt; 4 grandchildren Sarah (Adam) Andreesen, Lydia Jahner, Joe Jahner, and Eric (Jasmine) Jones; 1 great-grandson Grant Andreesen and many other family members and friends.
A private family burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
Bertrand Funeral Home in Knoxville, Iowa is in charge of the service.
