Frank Lee Mahon was born on April 17, 1937, near Lovilia, Monroe County, Iowa. He was one of five children born to Alta Richey and William John Mahon. Frank attended elementary school in Marysville and Attica High School.

Frank Lee Mahon was united in marriage to Waneta Williams. To this union, two sons were born.

Frank did various jobs during his working years; most being related to the farm. He had great love and compassion for his family. Frank enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and playing his harmonica. He played in the bell choir at the Westview Care Center in Indianola.

Preceding Frank in death were his parents; wife, three brothers, Daniel, John, and Paul Mahon; and one nephew, Robert Tullberg. Frank’s survivors include two sons, Raymond Mahon of Albia and David Mahon of Knoxville; one sister, Ella Tullberg of DeWitt, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Edythe Hill officiating. Interment will be in Caldwell Cemetery, rural Monroe County, Iowa at a later date. “The Old Rugged Cross”, a CD by Ricky Shelton was the musical selection.
