Frank Junior Elliott, 83, of Knoxville, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Iowa Methodist
Medical Center in Des Moines. The body has been cremated and there will be no funeral
service.

Frank was born on October 4, 1918, in Knoxville. He was the son of Gertrude
(Owen) and Frank N. Elliott. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1937 and
then attended Simpson College.

He married Ann Inman on May 15, 1949, in Collins,
at her parents' home. To this union two daughters were born.

He served in the United
States Army during the Second World War. After his discharge from the Army, Frank
joined the family shoe business. Elliott's Shoe Store had been in the family since
1911. Frank worked at the store with his brother, Owen, until his retirement in
1979. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Owen. He is survived by his
wife, Ann Elliott of Knoxville; two daughters, Janis Elliott of Carlisle and Margret
Elliott of Iowa City; and two grandchildren, Nathan Stults of Santa Rosa, Calif.
and Matthew Stults of Iowa City.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Knoxville
Heritage Foundation.
