Evan Franklin Cheever Nov 18, 1942 – Nov 3, 2009 Evan Franklin Cheever, 66, of Florence died Tuesday, Nov. 3 at St. Elizabeth Florence. Florence, KY, formerly of Omaha.

Passed away with his family by his side. Mr. Cheever was born in Ducans Bridge, MO to Vernelle and Ruby Cheever.

He attended high school in Knoxville, IA and in 1964 graduated with a degree in business from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. While attending college he met the love of his life, his wife of 46 years. He retired in 2001 from Guarantee Oil in Omaha, NE where he was Industrial Sales Manager.

Known by loved ones as Frank, he loved the St. Louis Cardinals, making HO slot cars, sailing, bicycling, and writing short stories. He also enjoyed meeting and sharing life stories with everyone he met. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Cheever of Florence, KY and his daughters and
their spouses, Cristin and Kent Kurtz of Orange County, CA and Candace and Mike
Hamilton of Omaha, NE, two grandsons, Nathan Kurtz and Reed Hamilton.

He is also survived by his mother Ruby Cheever of Clinton, IN, two sisters, Connie Mayes of Evansville, IN and Vicki Sabelhaus of Plano, TX, a brother, Richard Cheever of Clinton, IN, their spouses, five nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernelle Cheever.

SERVICE Saturday 1pm at Stith Funeral Homes, 7500 Highway 42, Florence, KY 41042.
