Funeral services for Forrest Earl Core, who died July 9, 1968, at Collins Memorial Hospital were held July 11 from Williams funeral home with Rev. James W. Dendler officiating.

Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.

Casketbearers were Leo Dykstra, Frank Tonda, Richard Tonda, Kermit Sherwood, Pleas Fee, and William Beal. Mrs. Owen Elliott, the organist, accompanied Mrs. Leon Miller, the soloist.

Forrest Earl, son of Clarence and Gertrude Core, was born Feb 1, 1909, at Cordova and spent his entire life in Red Rock and East Knoxville townships.

On March 14, 1935, he was married to Ethelyn Elizabeth Reynolds. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Ethelyn; two sons, David of Knoxville, and Dennis at home; two daughters, Sue of Des Moines, and Mrs. Sally Safris of Newton; one grandson, Michael Dean Safris; and a host of friends and relatives.
