Funeral services for Fairy Glee (Bishop) Hart-Anderson, 94, of Tracy, who died January 8, 1996, were held January 11, 1996, at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Burial was at Gosport Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Hall officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist, and John Crawford, soloist.
Pallbearers were Roy Beebe, Jerry Beebe, Rick Anderson, William Beal Jr., Jeffery Anderson and Raymond Anderson. Honorary bearers were Dwayne Beal, Mike Anderson, Kent McDaniel, Mark McDaniel, Wade McDaniel and Bruce Anderson.
Fairy was born March 4, 1901, near the Donnelly corners west of Knoxville, the daughter of Abijah and Marietta Bivans Bishop.
She lived most of her life in and around the Knoxville area, where she received her schooling.
She worked for a photography studio after attending school, but most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She was a member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage to Harold E. Hart on March 23, 1921, in Knoxville, and the couple lived on a farm near Gosport. He died in 1934.
She was later married to Ivan Edward Anderson on August 26, 1940. They lived in the Attica and Columbia area for about 20 years. Ivan died in 1960, and Fairy moved to Tracy in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; her husband Ivan; a brother, Robert Bishop; and one grandchild.
She is survived by three daughters, Constance “Connie” Colene (Hart) Beebe of Harvey, Norma Jean (Hart) Beal of rural Tracy, and Florence (Hart) McDaniel of Yorba Linda, Calif.; two sons, Larry Ivan Anderson of Bussey, and Richard Anderson of Tracy; a sister, Fern (Bishop) Lorimor of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, four step great- grandchildren, and 20 great, great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Tracy Fire and Rescue Unit.
Arrangements were made by Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
