Graveside services for Evelyn Maxine (Parks) Stapleton, 64, will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2010 at the Massena Center Cemetery at 11 a.m. The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena.
Evelyn was born July 2, 1945, in Coon Rapids, IA, to Clara Bernice Logan Parks and Arthur William Thomas Parks. Evelyn had worked for Sears at Merle Hay for a number of years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, David Stapleton of Fayetteville, AR; son: Jason Stapleton of Fayetteville AR; daughter: Lisa (Robert) Hendricks of Rogers, AR; grandchildren: Chloe Kerby of Madrid, IA, Alyssa Hendricks and Evan Hendricks of Rogers, AR; brothers: Forrest Parks (Martha) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Clyde (Smokey) Parks of Hawkins, TX, mother-in-law: Mildred Stapleton of Massena, IA, aunt: Helen Stubbs of Oklahoma City, OK.
