Ethelyn (Reed) Scarff, 20, passed away at the Memorial hospital this morning about one o'clock. She had been ill since Saturday from a ruptured appendix. She was admitted to the hospital Monday evening about five o'clock.
Mrs. Scarff before her marriage, a year ago in April, was Miss Ethelyn Reed.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Scarff, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Reed, 1109 East Washington Street, Mt. Pleasant, and one sister and one brother, Mrs. Virginia Thomas, and Gayle Reed, both of Knoxville.
Funeral services will be held at Crane's funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2:30.
Interment will be in White Oak cemetery
