Funeral services for Elizabeth Mary (Curtis) Andrews, 81, of Knoxville, who died May 28, 1999 of complications of pneumonia Friday,
at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held June 1, 1999, at Bybee and Davis
Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial Was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

The Rev. Ken Nathan officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder,
organist, and Janet Westberg, vocalist. Pallbearers were Bob Dieken, Don Synhorst,
Joshua Hogan, Jerry Weldon, Dan Dennison, and Don Cullers.

Elizabeth was born September 18, 1917, in Marion County, the daughter of Fred and
Belle Graves Curtis. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1935.

She was united in marriage to Guy Fletcher Andrews on March 4, ,1937. The couple
farmed in Marion County until Guy's death in 1973, after which she moved to Knoxville.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Union
Veterans of the Civil War, Christ's Church, and was a volunteer at the VA Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Ethel Miers,
Margaret Taylor, and Helen Shappell; and three brothers in early childhood, J.T.,
Clarence, and Donald.

She is survived by three daughters, Clara Naud of Clinton, Utah, Ann Hogan of Cape
Giradeau, Mo., and Dr. Sue Cullers of Stephenville, Texas; nine grandchildren, and
11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Knoxville Public Library.
