Edward Carroll Loynachan, 75, of 1251 J Ave. E., and formerly of Colorado Springs, Colo.,
died Sunday, Feb 23, 1986 at the Mahaska County Hospital.

He was born August 10, 1910 on a farm near Knoxville, the son of Clark C. and Bertha Rouze Loynachan.

He married Inez Mae Berry on Feb. 9, 1969 at Osage Beach, Mo. She died on Feb. 10, 1984.
He was a graduate of Knoxville High School and the University of Iowa. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific area.

Before his illness
of cancer, he was promotional manager for Remad, Inc. of Denver, Colo. He was also
a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa.

He is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Jan (Charles) King of Mare and Mrs. Carmen (Charles) Becker of Oskaloosa;
one step-son Gary Berry of Douds; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sandra (Dean) Schuttlefield
of Hedrick; his first wife, Lucille Loynachan of Clear Lake; several stepgrandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez; his parents;
a brother, Don Loynachan; a sister, Eunice Wright.

Funeral services will be held
Friday at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa with Rev. David
Becker of Palouse, Wash. and Rev. Charles Collisson of Oskaloosa officiating.

Burial
will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery in W. Des Moines at 1:30 p.m.

Memorials may
be made to Hospice of Oskaloosa or the Charles Becker Scholarship Fund at the First
Presbyterian Church.
