Funeral services for Edmond N. "Johnny" Patch, 71, of Dubuque. formerly of Knoxville,
who died January 27, 1999 at the Finley Hospital in Dubuque, were held January 30, 1999,
in Dubuque. Burial was at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, with a flag presentation
by American Legion Post #6.
Edmond was born May 14, 1927, in Knoxville, the son
of Harry and Lorraine Jones Patch. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1945,
and enlisted in the Army Air Corps.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Caffrey on November 26, 1949, in Des Moines. He worked at Rock Island Millwork for 33 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Anthony's Parish.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth.
He is survived by his wife of Dubuque;
four sons, Dale of West Des Moines, and John, Brian and James, all of Dubuque; three
daughters, Janet Adams of Naperville, Ill., Nancy Bainter of Des Moines, and Teresa
Bruno of Lasarta, Tenn.; a sister, Edith Hays of Knoxville; and 13 grandchildren.
