Services for Dwight Neal LaFollette, 59, of Chariton, who died October 10, at the
University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, were held October 14, 1996, at Mosher
Funeral Home in Chariton.

Burial was at Gosport Cemetery. Military honors were accorded
by Dallcher Post #632, American Legion of Melcher-Dallas. Pastors Benny Womble and
Ken Harlan officiated at the services.

Music was provided by Virginia Orwig, organist,
and Tony Irving and Gary Brunt, soloists. Pallbearers were Rusty Clark, Harold Cobb,
Tim Stephens, Mike Musick, Ron Wallace, and Dan McDonald. Honorary bearers were
John McDonald, Bob Harris and Edsel Cooper.

Dwight was born December 26, 1936, in
Warren County, the son of Bob and Viola Nichols LaFollette. He was a veteran of
the U.S. Army. He was employed with Central Paving in Indianola for 20 years, and
currently was a nursing assistant at the VA Hospital in Knoxville.

He was united
in marriage to Sandra Kay Cooper on December 15,1968. He is survived by his wife,
of Chariton; three sons, Dwight Jr., of Harvey, Steven of Chariton, and Alan of
Phoenix; two brothers, Jim of Harvey, and Leroy of Anaheim, Calif.; and five sisters,
Evelyn Shivvers, and Creta Watson, both of Knoxville, Marilyn LaFollette of Arizona,
Betty Johnson of Griswold, and Naomi South of Bakersfield, Calif.

Arrangements were
made by Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton.
