Services for Doyle Marion Witzenburg, 21, of Knoxville, who passed away May 1, 1992
as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that was held May 6 at Bybee
and Davis Funeral Home. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. Damon Reese officiated
at the services. Music was provided by organist James Kidder.
Pallbearers were Mike
Goff, Troy VandeKamp, Tom Orr, Mark Smith, Bill Hull, and Mike Klein. Honorary casket bearers
were Randy Parks, Paul Wallace, Larry Verwers, Greg Higginbotham, Kevin Koonce, and Bret
McDonald.
Doyle was born on March 22, 1971, in Knoxville, the son of Delwyn G. and
Rosemary DeMoss Witzenburg. He received his education in the Knoxville schools
and graduated in the class of 1989.
While he was a high school student he started
his employment with HyVee and was a full-time employee with the company at the time
of his death.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather. He is survived
by his parents, Delwyn and Rosemary Witzenburg of Knoxville; his sister, Brenda
White and son Nathan of Knoxville; his brother Don Witzenburg of Lincoln, Neb.;
his maternal grandparents, Don and Norma DeMoss of rural Columbia; and his paternal
grandmother, Ethel Witzenburg of Pella
