Dorothy Mary (Roll) Flanagan – Price, 87, passed away May 10, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines IA.

Dorothy was born, on January 16, 1923, at Attica, IA, to Stanley and Allie Grace Roll. She graduated from Knoxville High School and lived all of her adult life until retirement in Des Moines.

She enjoyed her years as an employment counselor for Capital Personnel and later in the personnel department for Preferred Risk (now Guide One). Dorothy and her husband Ralph retired to Richland, MO.

Dorothy loved to cook for friends and family, who benefited from her great-tasting cobblers and fried chicken. She loved country music and animals. A warm, outgoing person, Dorothy will be missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Larry (Jan) Flanagan and Kent (Janie) Flanagan of Des Moines; grandchildren Price, Shawn, Juli, James, Shelli, Mindi; nine great-grandchildren Nolan, Kinsey, Kristlyn, Cayleigh, Cassidy, Savanna, Nick, Maggie, and Bliss; one brother Stan (Mildred) Roll; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Kenneth and William; her husband Ralph and former husband Forest Flanagan.

Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 14, at First Assembly of God, 2700 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines. Visitation with a luncheon will follow the service. Dorothy will be buried in Richland, MO, beside her husband Ralph.

Memorials may be given to the Dorothy Price Memorial Fund.
