Donna Lee (Edwards) Temple, age 75, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.
Donna was born on December 11, 1944, in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Don and Helen (Pitt) Edwards, Sr. She attended country school in Flagler until 5th grade and then attended Knoxville Schools.
Donna was united in marriage to Melvin Temple, Sr. on April 2, 1962. They were blessed with two children, Melvin and Kim. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage.
Donna worked at the Overall Factory in Knoxville for a while and then worked as a linen clerk in the Laundry Dept. at the V.A. Hospital in Knoxville.
Donna’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville. Due to COVID 19, face masks are encouraged, but not required.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory include her husband, Melvin Temple, Sr. of Knoxville; son, Melvin Temple, Jr. of Knoxville; daughter, Kim Hahn (Chang) of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Kwan Williams, Kai Hahn, Jin Hahn, Song Hahn, Joshua Temple, and Jordan Temple; one sister, Pam Rooney of Knoxville and one sister-in-law, Susan Edwards of Pella.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Don Edwards, Sr., and Helen Spaur; also one brother, Rev. Don Edwards, Jr.
