Funeral services for Donnie Arlen Cowman, 69, of Monroe, who died Sept. 14, 2003, were held Sept. 18 at Walters Coburn Funeral Home.
Pastor Harold Koughn officiated at the services. Interment was at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Cowman was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Percy, the son of Darald and Ruth Elizabeth (Penman) Cowman. He graduated from Knoxville High School. Cowman served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.
He married Virginia Main and they later divorced. He then married Phyllis J. Parmer. He was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Long Beach, Miss.; a daughter, Debra Cowman of Texas; three sons, Jeffrey and Eric Cowman both of Texas and Josh Cowman of Miss.
He is also survived by several grandchildren and a brother, Gene Cowman and his wife JoAnn of Des Moines. Memorial my be made to the Donnie A. Cowman Memorial Fund.
